How Sweep It Is

A few house keeping notes and a few thoughts:

By now, you’ve probably got the gist of things these days: blog entries Tuesday and Thursday, “Drive” reviews Monday, “Lost” reviews Wednesday, and podcasts for both shows on Sunday. I’m hoping to add to more things to the schedule: another blog entry on Sunday (I’m already annoying God enough with the podcasts, might as well add to my list of sins) and a “Links of the Week” entry every Friday. I’ll try to gather up links throughout the week and pass them onto you before the weekend’s in full swing. I’ll need your help on this one: if you see anything that interests you, tickles your fancy, or involves kittens with Uzis, pass them my way.

I’d love to have all the reviews and podcasts be in addition to daily entries, but there’s this whole “work” thing coupled with this “sleep” thing and this “damnit, stop looking at your MacBook and talk to me or I’m calling the wedding off and running away with Hugh Jackman” thing. Only can do so much in a day. If you would like to purchase me as your blogger concubine, I’ll have a lot more free time on my hands to write, well, pretty much anything you want. I’m a whore for money that way.

The ongoing “let’s see if Ryan can get through the Spring without feeling the need to watch every pitch of the Red Sox season” is going pretty well, I must say. (The above web schedule kinda enforces that plan, I must say as well.) The Yankees series was great, the Blue Jays series is going about as bad as I thought it would, and through it all the earth still turned on its axis, whether or not I was watching. The drugs are helping tremendously as well. I will say that I’m enjoying the chemistry on this year’s team. Sure, it’s a $160 million dollar team, but I get to watch Julian Tavarez and Daisuke Matsuzaka hang out on off days talking about…well, who the hell knows what they talk about? Tavarez blabs on and on to Dice-K seemingly every game they have off, and Dice-K has this perpetual, “What in the name of all that’s holy is this guy talking about?” There’s always a translator nearby to help things along, but I’m pretty sure the guy only translates “English”, not “completely crazy”.

I do know, however, that if the aforementioned blogger concubine thing happens, and I end up the Anna Nicole-esque beneficiary of someone’s will, the first thing I’ll do with the money of finance of a series of buddy-cop movies starring Tavarez and Matsuzaka. They would be like “Rush Hour”, only not completely suck. Tavarez would kick unholy ass, scaring burglars into peeing their pants, and in prison, inmates would get together and wonder if Dice-K shot them with the gyro-bullet. Instant money-maker, I tell you.

As a preview to the “Links of the Week”, check this out, courtesy of my brother. I’m going to have a hard time watching this movie a second time without constantly uttering, “This is delicious!” Might be impossible, in fact.
