Links of the Week, Volume 2
For the second iteration of “Links of the Week”, the theme is simple: “stuff that makes me laugh”. Pretty basic, really. I don’t aim for high literary aspirations with these entries: you won’t find “Proustian angst” anytime soon on Fridays here.
For the better part of two years, I had Lean Pockets for lunch each weekday. Cheap, filling, did the trick. Then I saw this and haven’t eaten one since.
Many of you probably already forgot about the suicide of Richard Jeni, since many of you probably never heard of him before he killed himself. But back in the day, he was THE comic as far as my family was concerned. There were only a handful of things we could all agree on, and “Richard Jeni brings the funny” was one of those. This is possibly his most famous routine. (Click around for the entire concert; it’s worth it.)
Last week I linked the “PG” trailer for “300”, which has led me to randomly shout, “This is delicious!” in inappropriate places. This week, I give you the best review of “300” ever. Good gravy. Not for the weak-hearted.
You’ve probably seen the trailer for “Knocked Up”, but have you seen the international trailer? Cuz you should. Just don’t play it too loudly at work. I can’t be responsible for you being fired and stuff.
With all the drama surrounding Dice-K’s control problems, most Red Sox fans have had little time to fret about anything else. But at this point, I’m not sure this actually happening would faze anyone.
Hasselhoff. The gift that keeps on giving.
Here’s 60 seconds that encapsulate why “Arrested Development” will never be topped.
