Lost Preview: Episode 3.20

“The Man Behind the Curtain” is Jacob. Will he be someone we’ve already met? Someone under a different name, perhaps? Or someone completely new to the “Lost”-verse?

Doc Jensen gives his typically intriguing preview, although I tended to prefer his rants and raves when he hadn’t already seen the episode in question. Feels like he’s holding back info he’s dying to share, and as such, is less free to let his freak flag fly when it comes to hypothesizing the direction the show will take. But there’s one super cool part I’d like to quote below, from producer Damon Lindelof.

"Locke will hear two words tonight," says Lindelof. "Those words, and the fact that he hears them, will change his course on the island forever."

I forwarded this to my brother, who I think correctly pointed out what I missed upon initially reading it: that “the fact that he hears them” is the important part of that phrase. Because it strongly implies that either Smokey or The Island says those two words. And since “If you build it, he will come” is seven words, we can assume that’s not what changes Locke’s future on the Island.

So who wants to guess what those two words will be?

My guess right now: “Save me.”

See you after midnight, EST, for my insta-review of “The Man Behind The Curtain”. In the meantime, catch up on all things “Lost” at my little “Lost” haven.

Update, 10:47 pm: One word off. Not bad.
