It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
So here’s the thing…
It’s Fall, which means that the summer’s over, sure, but also means that it’s time for the local packies to start stocking Samuel Adams Octoberfest beer, which means this is the greatest freakin’ time of the year. And yes, I call them "packies", not “liquor stores”, especially after I’ve had a few bottles of this liquid goodness and regress into utter and complete Masshole-ishness.
Problem is, I’m getting older. And with age comes wisdom, try as I might to stay as unwise as possible. So I’ve got a case and a half on my back porch, just sitting there, unopened. Because, well, it’s a weekday, and I really shouldn’t dive in to the delicious beverages on my back porch without a good reason, you know?
So help me out, people: I need excuses to crack open the sudsy goodness that calls my name. Drop any and all excuses below. Help a bald Bostonian out. It doesn't have to be a good one. Heck, I'd kinda prefer a bad one. Like, "Well, you didn't kill a koala today, did you?"
Leave 'em below.

Go for a long after-dinner fall evening walk with whatever you call family - or alone for that matter.
Crack one open when you return. Ahhhhh.

The Patriots won. The Red Sox are going to beat out the Yankees to win the eastern division. The Celtics might be relevant again. Boston College will soon be 7-0 and in line for a possible National Championship. If you're a Boston sports fan at all, life is just too good not to enjoy a cold one (or eight or nine.)
Crack it open, Bro.

Crack one open because you just did a good deed -- you reminded me to surprise my honey with some (Sam Adams Octoberfest)!
Now what did you say your address was....?

This may not be a Happy Reason, but I'd suggest you have one in the memory of Match Game panelist Brett Somers.

Good ol' "Match Game".
"Ryan needed a beer so badly, that he used a *BLANK* as a bottle opener."
